Menopause

& Midlife Support

Therapy for the emotional, relational, and hormonal shifts of midlife

Many women reach their 40s or early 50s and begin to notice that something feels different. Sleep changes. Mood shifts. Focus feels harder. Patience is shorter.
Sometimes there’s simply a feeling of
“I don’t quite feel like myself anymore.”
And for many women, this shift is the hallmark of perimenopause and menopause.

Many of the women I work with arrive feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, and unsure how to set boundaries without guilt.

They’re navigating changing hormones, caring for aging parents, raising teens, holding full-time jobs, and carrying the emotional weight of everyone around them.

With a master’s degree in counselling psychology, over 35 years as an educator, 20 years of coaching, and 14 years as a therapist, my work has always centred on helping individuals find steadiness, self-awareness, and a deeper sense of agency — especially through the profound transitions of midlife.

I know firsthand what it feels like when your body changes faster than your life can keep up — when sleep shifts, focus fractures, moods intensify, and the capacity you once relied on begins to thin. I know what it’s like to hold everything together for everyone else while wondering quietly, “What’s happening to me?”

For many years, I pushed through. I overextended myself, ignored my own needs, kept the peace, and believed that exhaustion was simply part of being a woman in this season of life. I didn’t yet understand how hormones, caregiving, identity, and emotional load were shaping my sense of self from underneath.
It took time — and a great deal of unlearning — to recognize that feeling depleted wasn’t a personal failure. It was a signal. A call to make room for myself again.

Midlife isn’t a crisis.
It’s a turning point.

A place where your body, your relationships, and your inner world all ask for a different kind of care.

I’m here to help you understand what’s shifting, steady your nervous system, support your boundaries, and replenish what has been worn thin — so you can move through this season with clarity, dignity, and a renewed sense of self.

How I Support Women in Midlife

Midlife brings a unique combination of emotional, physical, and relational shifts. Together we explore:

✓ The emotional load of midlife
Understanding why everything suddenly feels heavier — and rebuilding your capacity.

✓ Hormonal change & mood shifts
Anxiety, irritability, low mood, tearfulness, disrupted sleep, and cognitive fog that can accompany perimenopause and menopause.

✓ Boundaries & people-pleasing
Why saying “no” feels harder in this stage of life — and how to set boundaries that feel clear and compassionate.

✓ Identity changes
Questioning who you are now, what you want, and how to make room for yourself again.

✓ Relationship patterns
Navigating changes in partnership, parenting, intimacy, and family dynamics.

✓ Burnout & emotional exhaustion
Reclaiming capacity when you feel drained by caregiving, work, or the pressure to hold everything together.
